Since we’ve been so busy lately, we haven’t been able to do many of the “What We’re Playing” posts. So, I’m going to do a little something different for the next couple of weeks.

I thought it would be cool to show you guys what some of our favorite games are but then to raise the curtain on what some of us may have done to get such high gamerscores. Laugh with me as I draw to light my team’s Gamerscorewh*ring ways.

Apparently, I’m not doing so well on the completion of games. I do admit, I don’t play online enough to get a lot of the achievements available. I think I need to get back into that side of things.

Below is a breakdown of my Gamerscore:

Check out my sports titles. Not too stellar, right? Hmmm well, just think about that when I start posting everyone else’s info. Oh yeah, I’m saying it. Let’s just see what kinds of hot scores my teammates have in some of those – shall we say – less than challenging games. BTW, I actually love the Lego games. Avatar? Well, ok, whatever.

If you couldn’t tell, I can’t wait for Fable II. As well as Gears 2, Rock Band 2, Mirror’s Edge, Left for Dead, Dead Space, uh… wow… I think I have a problem…

Nelson

This week, Nelson Rodriguez is in the hot seat for Gamerscore scrutiny.

I’m feeling better about my completion compared to Nelson. At least on the retail side of things. I’m beating him by a whole 1% in Gamerscore! GO ME! I will admit that Nelson is a hardcore XBLA player – check out he and Natalie on Pick Up & Play on Inside Xbox if you haven’t already. He’s up 2% on me in that category.

Below is a breakdown of Nelson’s Gamerscore:

Nelson is looking forward to Dead Space and Left 4 Dead the most. Ahhh another horror lover to share my love for zombies, death and carnage with. It’s the little things that make me happy

Nelson and I are the only two who don’t rely on cheese to get gamerscore. I did our cards first, so that we can concentrate on the gamerscorewh**ing ways of those other two cats on the team. I CAN’T WAIT!

Chris

And here we have Mr. Paladino. The hardest of the hardcore on the team. He can actually play Rock Band guitar on expert while chainsawing Wretches with his feet. I don’t exaggerate – No way.

Below is a breakdown of Chris’s Gamerscore:

Oh look what we have here. Have you seen a more wh**ring list than that? Maybe if he had something other than Too Human as a legit score, I’d give him a break but nope! Some of you have jumped on Nelson and I for our Avatar Achievements. Well WHAT NOW?! HUH? HUH? The only thing I will say is that this rapid gaining through questionable means does have a source. That source will be revealed next week.

The lone achievement is quite tough to get. He has managed to upload a video from Facebreaker. Yes, this difficult task has earned him the right to say that he is the only one here to have an achievement all to himself.

Obviously, Chris is looking forward to some Gears of War 2 action. He’s also looking forward to Left for Dead, Dead Space and Diablo 3 because he plays stuff on that newfangled computer thingie they have these days.

UPDATE! - I was just reminded about a certain event where a microphone was held up to a speaker to get perfect scores in a game that required lots of singing. :: laughs loudly ::

Tony

We now have the last in the series of Gamercards for my team. Mr. Tony Hynes aka Gamerscore Wh**e Extraordinaire aka Bastelyon.

As you will be able to see from the card below, game completion is not at the top of the agenda for Mr. Hynes. Rather, he and Chris are in a race to see who can stay at the top of the list on the right of the blog.

Last week, I saw a message from Chris’ better half, HPaladino, on Facebook asking if the list had been updated to reflect his higher score. I immediately went in to fix it. The next morning, Tony came in and admitted that he had been playing offline just so he could come in and crush Chris’ hopes and dreams. Really? Oh, yes – This geek competition has reached heightened levels of foul play.

I wonder if he will actually use the excuse of loving all of those games in the left column? And no completion in TMNT? Shameful!

As our boss, Tony needs to lead by example – or so he’d have you think. He really just likes to make us feel small and inadequate as we stare at the awe inspiring number on his Gamercard.

It’s almost to the point where we can’t not try to reach his score. I try to stick to getting as many achievements as possible in each game but I won’t lie – Part of me wants to deviate and play games I’m not necessarily AS interested in **cougheasysportscough** just to put him in his place. Must… Resist…

If you’re wondering about the lone achievement, it was for “Angry Plumber” in Hellboy.

Tony is most looking forward to Pink Pony Cake House – Oh crap, I was supposed to keep that to myself. Ahem – Fallout 3, Fable 2, Gears of War 2 and Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.

I hope you’ve gotten some enjoyment from the outing of my team. I’ve certainly had fun doing it. Maybe I’ll start doing it to some of you and just write complete fiction on what I think your real motives are MUAHAHAHA
